Michele Woodward is a consultant, coach, speaker and teacher who wrote a blog post yesterday on what she believes about business, work, and living one's life.
She nailed much of what I believe, and I'm going to add to what she listed in creating my own set of published beliefs. Mine is not an ultimate list, but it's a good start.
I believe there is far more progress to be made in seeking common ground than in searching for all the ways we are different.
I believe we can solve any problem if we begin by changing our frame of reference.
I believe that there are no bad people, only people behaving badly.
I believe that the separation we feel from others is dealt with most effectively by walking toward, not by bemoaning the current state.
I believe a hug is better than a closed fist.
I believe we are supposed to succeed, so let's get the hell out of our own way.
I believe our stories are ones we can share. We may end up appearing in each other's stories as a result.
