I don't know about you, but I enjoy the occasional conversation with my higher Self. That's the part of me which is my connection to the entirety of All That Is, to the Universe, to the God/Goddess/I Am. It's as if I am talking to All That Is without hogging the channel--I have full access to mySelf at any time, and it never gets in the way of anyone else doing the same thing. No party lines!
Since the conversations can be illuminating, I decided this time (early yesterday morning) to simply type it out instead of playing it out only inside my head.
I started yesterday morning in a low-energy place, where I was not happy about anything, yet not really all that distressed about any particular part of my life, either. Let's refer to it as "low-grade depression." Down enough that I really had no desire to go to work, but not burying my head under my pillow, either. As I recall, there was no moaning.
Blah. That's the right single-word description.
Here is how the conversation went.
-----
So, is this how you are today?
Yes.
Are you determined to maintain this stance forever?
No, not at all.
Okay. So, what do you think will happen to prompt a change for you?
I don't know. It feels so much as if I have no control over what happens...it's a very helpless feeling.
What if you were to learn, for a fact, that you, and only you, can decide how you are situated in this life?
Well, it would be quite an adjustment. I'm not sure I could believe it right away.
...and once you got past that reticence, what then?
It feels like too much pressure to me. I don't know what to do, I don't know how to act, and I don't know to whom to turn.
Yes, this is just where you should be now, so there is no cause for concern or stress. You see, your tension indicates how much you care. That's the measure of the being: the caring you bring to any situation. We all bring so much to the places in our lives we care about that we often feel as if we are on a high wire emotionally, far from safety. Just the opposite is the case, regardless of how crazy it may seem, for our passion is our safety net, our survival token.
I'm glad to hear that caring and stress go together. Wait...no I'm not!
You are right that there is no reason to combine the two, only a common element in the two for many people. Once you learn to adjust to your own divinity, you can let go of that stress. There will be no place for it at that point.
Hold it, hold it...My own divinity? Dude, I am so barely able this morning to get into the shower, eat my oatmeal, and get to work on time. Now you are talking divinity?
Don't get your knickers all in a knot. It is not divinity in the sense of responsibility, but in the sense of power to allow. You can allow your life to unfold instead of stressing over it every step of the way. Your stressing, as I indicated before, is touching but it is not necessary or integral. It simply shows everyone that you really do care about how you are living your life. As you get more comfortable with this concept of allowing, you will find yourself not only more relaxed in thinking about your life and the way it is progressing, but you will find that things actually go more smoothly than they did when you struggled to get through the day.
Wow. I'm not sure what to do, as I am already going to be a bit late getting to the office. Can we pick up this conversation later?
I'm here for you whenever you need me. You have my number. Just open your heart and dial M E .

A great reminder...thanks, Rick. "Our passion is our safety net"...something to ponder for the holiday.
I, too, am depressed this morning, but not low-grade. I realize that I have something to contribute to this day, that I can create the day...
I struggle with holidays, because mine look so different from the way I think they should look, and perhaps from the way I want them to. I will take this to heart, today.
Thank you, my friend,
O
O--this day has something to bring to you, and that means you are off the hook. It's a great way to look at it when we are feeling less-than-energized: "I am open to what the universe has to offer me today."
This is a holiday from holidays, Olivia! If anyone tells you otherwise, please refer them to me. I will take care of them. I mean that in the nicest way, I promise!
You got it, Rick!! thanks, O xxoo
