Monday morning

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

As you can see, even my work shoes are more prepared for Monday morning than I am. I had to hustle a bit to catch up to them as they started up the stairs from the Hamguin Cave.

Monday mornings are often slightly difficult, but only in the sense that I don't want to get out of bed. I somehow manage to be getting my best sleep right about the time that dawn hits and the light coming in the window lets me know it is time.

Once I get moving, it's not so bad. There are many things about my job I enjoy, so I don't pretend to be one of those people who are always whining about being stuck in a job they hate or which offers them no future.

Still, there will come a day when Julia and I share the same mission all day, every day, and there is no longer a requirement for me to be holding down my day job. As much as I like my job, I am looking forward to having a situation which flows more naturally and allows us to feel more aligned more of the time.

My team of four supports about 550 people, support which includes not only computers, but the phones, phone system, the network and servers in this office, and all wireless devices. I head up the team and do my best to keep the nonsense stuff that goes on in every office this large from hindering the rest of the team. So, I take on some stress in that role, and it is not always easy to release that simply from walking out of the office in the afternoon.

Some days, Julia and I fit together perfectly when I walk in the door after work, and some days we don't. My belief is, we will fit together easily more of the time if I don't leave for work anymore at all. It's not just work, of course--any couple who spends the entire day apart are sometimes going to be in very different emotional spaces when they get together at the end of the day.

For now, we consciously look to adjust to each other each day.

I love this picture, and the thought behind it. I once worked in Real Estate but it proved to be way to stressful for me with my obligations of spouse, motherhood, and everything else in between! I'm glad that you have the outlook that you do! I can sense it in your words. Thank you for the kind words that you left on my blog! Until next time...Happy Day!
